KenoshaRising is a grassroots collaboration between Kenosha County UW-Extension and Expose Kenosha with support from the Kenosha Community Foundation, to catalogue local artists and analyze economic impacts of the arts in the Kenosha area.
In 2014, this band of organizations began laying the groundwork for a new collaboration with the City of Kenosha Commission on the Arts and the UW-Madison Bolz Center for Arts Administration’s MBA students, to engage in the creation of the Kenosha Creative Economy Strategic Plan.
The KenoshaRising team looks to broaden the reach of this community planning process by bring perspectives into the fold from some of the area’s influential business, governmental and philanthropic leaders. This series of interviews is deemed KenoshaRising “Community Voices” that will support—and extend the work of the Bolz Center and strengthen the networks across the community of artists and creatives.
